New for 2008…Let’s Race!

Pit Row

Salute to America is off to the races with the new SOCKET Pit Row. This themed area will be located in the block of High Street between Madison and Jefferson and will feature a variety of displays and exhibitions focusing on all aspects of one of America’s favorite pastime.

Look for stock and sprint cars from local favorites Randy Martin, Reid Millard, Mid-west Block and Brick and more as well as Nostalgic Superstock drag car by Chris Schneider. See the Office Depot Carl Edwards car on display, take a ride in a real NASCAR simulator and get autographs from world-class drivers.

In addition to cars you’ll also find the latest in speedboats, motorcycles, dirt bikes and more. The Tour of Missouri international bike race will also be on hand to promote this year’s race scheduled for September 12. Jefferson City is excited to be the finish city of day five of the tour. Another highlight will be the Skywalker racing team showcasing their quarter mile Pro Mod Supercharged Ford Powered Drag boat.

KFMZ, the Buzz will be live from noon to 2 pm at the SOCKET high speed pavilion offering a chance to score tickets to the races at Lake Ozark Speedway.

If you'd like to participate there's still time...we are seeking the following types of displays:

  • Bicycle racing

  • Motorcycles—fast track, dirt bike

  • Cars — stock cars, late model, winged sprint

  • Drag racing — rails, top fuel

  • Monster Trucks

  • Tractors

  • Go Karts

  • Nascar

We want vehicles, drivers, simulators, and all things related. Call or email us at info@salutetoamerica.org with your ideas or download an application!
