It's a Capital Celebration!

There is so much to see and do in Jefferson City, Missouri over the 4th of July holiday, you and your friends and family will have trouble squeezing everything in! Start by reserving a room at any one of our Great Rates participants then head to the historic downtown district  for two days of great celebrations.

Check out all these great themed areas within the festival district:

Embarq Parade on the 3rd starting at 6 pm -- much cooler.

River Region Credit Union/News Tribune Little Mr. and Miss Independence Contest on the Downtown Jefferson City.com stage at Madison.

Enjoy free entertainment on the Capitol Stage on the SOUTH SIDE of the Capitol Building brought to you by Riley Chevrolet and Midwest Block and Brick.

Coca-Cola Taste of Missouri Food Courts where you're sure to find something yummy to satisfy everyone's tastes for a picnic on one of the state's beautifully manicured lawns.

Missouri American Water Carnival Land on Madison and Capital Avenue featuring a full-size midway.

On High Street, families will love the KRCG & St. Mary's Kids Zone with activities and entertainment areas.

Jefferson Bank Heritage Village featuring reenactors.

Our newest themed area Pit Row featuring all things racing.

For shopping, head west toward the Capitol Building to the Westside/Eastside Business Association's Avenue of the Americas.

Naught-Naught Agency's Route 66 with a classic car show located on Broadway.

Various historical buildings will be open for tours including The Cole County Historical Museum, the Elizabeth Rozier Gallery, the Governor’s Mansion and the Capitol Building itself.

Riley Toyota Wild West Truck Pavilion featuring a singing cowboy.

Look for the Jefferson City Convention and Visitor's Bureaus Information kiosks located throughout the festival district with our new plasma signage courtesy of JCMG.

If you get thirsty for beverages of the adult kind, venture into any number of popular bars, pubs and restaurants in the downtown area or head up to  Missouri Spirits Boulevard, a beer garden featuring Boulevard Brewing Company and Mike's Hard Lemonade all served up by your local Jefferson City Jaycees.

Once the concert 4th of July Concert is over and the sky goes dark, the Festival will conclude with one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the mid-west. Featuring enormous 16" shells choreographed to patriotic music, the Mike Kehoe Sky Concert is always the highlight of an amazing day.
