It's a Capital Celebration!

There is so much to see and do in Jefferson City, Missouri over the 4th of July holiday, you and your friends and family will have trouble squeezing everything in! Start by reserving a room at any one of our Great Rates participants then head to the historic downtown district  for two days of great celebrations.

 

Check out all these great themed areas within the festival district:

 

CenturyLink Parade on the 3rd starting at 6 pm.

 

River Region Credit Union Little Mr. and Miss Independence Contest on the stage at Madison.

 

Enjoy free entertainment on the Capitol Stage on the SOUTH SIDE of the Capitol Building brought to you by Riley and Midwest Block and Brick.

 

Coca-Cola Taste of Missouri Food Courts where you're sure to find something yummy to satisfy everyone's tastes for a picnic on one of the state's beautifully manicured lawns.

 

Providence Bank Carnival Land on Madison and Capital Avenue featuring a full-size midway. OPEN SATURDAY 2 pm- 11 pm

 

On High Street, families will love the St. Mary's Kids Zone with activities and entertainment areas.

 

And all new for 2011: FMX Extreme Sports Demos! with freestyle Motor Cross sponsored in part by Xtreme Body and Paint.

 

The SandBlock with world-renowned sand sculptor Dan Belcher

 

Missouri River Regional Library & JC Parks and Rec Heritage Village featuring re-enactors.

 

Jefferson Bank High Street Heroes with police, fire and military

 

GFI-Ricoh Pit Row featuring all things racing.

 

For shopping, head west toward the Capitol Building to the Westside/Eastside Business Association's Avenue of the Americas.

 

Carroll Rehma Motors Route 66 with a classic car show located on Broadway.

 

See the World Bird Sanctuary's Live Eagle Show on the Capitol Mains Stage on July 4th at 3, 5 and 7 pm. Brought to you by Missouri American Water

 

Look for the Jefferson City Convention and Visitor's Bureaus Information kiosks located throughout the festival district with our plasma signage.

 

If you get thirsty for beverages of the adult kind, venture into any number of popular bars, pubs and restaurants in the downtown area or head up to  LandShark Lager Beer Garden,

 

Once the concert 4th of July Concert is over and the sky goes dark, the Festival will conclude with one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the mid-west. Featuring enormous shells choreographed to patriotic music, the Missouri Credit Union Red White and Boom fireworks display is always the highlight of an amazing day.
